In the morning, I meet with Erik and other writers to collaborate on a document that involves both our product groups.

Discuss Peer Review

A few days ago, I asked Traci, a technical writer in another group, to review a manual that I have recently revised. I added about 20 pages of new content since the last revision. Because I made so many changes, I want to have another technical writer with an objective viewpoint edit the document. She agreed to provide a peer review, so I emailed her a PDF version of the document.

We meet this afternoon to review her suggestions for improvement. She shows me some areas in the manual that would benefit from some clarification, and she has some good ideas about reorganizing a couple of the sections. After I make these changes, I'll feel confident about sending this document to my lead writer and engineers for review.
