I joined National Instruments in 2005 as a technical writer. I write technical documentation for the LabVIEW software group. I have a B.S. in Communication Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. In my spare time I enjoy playing sports (especially tennis and football) and rooting for the Longhorns. I also partake in the bountiful outdoor activities available in Austin. When it's raining (or too hot, or no longer football season) you can find me playing video games or going to a movie.

Here are some of the things I do in a typical week:

• Monday: Collaborate with other technical writers and peer review a document
• Tuesday: Attend NI-TC Steering Committee meeting
• Wednesday: Volunteer at Shoes for Austin and attend a brown-bag presentation
• Thursday: Write documentation for a new feature in LabVIEW
• Friday: Test a document and attend a deck party
