Friday Set Career Goals
Prepare My Documentation for Publishing I received signoff approval for my pane wallpaper feature this morning, so today I integrate the content into my help file. Then I start preparing my help file for publishing. I have a series of checklists to help me prepare and validate my help file before I submit the final version. The checklists contain lists of settings and information I need to verify to ensure that my help file works properly with the software and with other help files and that it contains all the copyright, trademark, and other legal information needed for any publication. I will spend today and a few days next week finishing the checklists. Attend Deck Party NI's motto is "Work hard, play hard," and we really stay true to our word. During the day, I'm busy learning about the processes and technology we use here, along with working on my documentation tasks. However, I also get to participate in some really cool activities outside of my cube. This afternoon, NI is having a deck party to celebrate one of our accomplishments as a company. NI recognizes that everyone contributes to our success, so everyone is invited to attend a party outside on our deck area. I'll get the chance to mingle with my group and with other writers, and meet new people in other groups and positions at NI. There will be a live band, free beer, and yummy snacks, so I'm looking forward to the party.
